In this video, personal injury and workers’ compensation attorney Ty Wilson provides details about a posted panel of physicians,  and how it functions under a Georgia workers’ compensation claim.

A posted panel of physicians is a list of doctors that are available for an employee in the event of a work related injury.  There are many requirements that should be followed regarding this panel.  If you have been injured in a work related injury, it is important that you seek treatment.

In the event of an emergency, you want to go to the emergency room rather than waiting to see a doctor on the panel.  For example, if you are bleeding, have a head trauma, cannot breath or other life threatening or limb threatening injury, you need care immediately and may need to call 911 or have someone take you to the hospital for emergency treatment.  After you have been treated for the emergency, you should notify your employer so he/she can make an official workers comp claim for you.  At that point, you may need to do follow up care with one of the doctors on the Georgia panel of physicians.

Every case is unique.  If you are not sure how this applies in your specific case, Ty will provide a panel review for you at no cost.  We want to be sure that Georgia’s get the care they are required to have and the care they deserve after a work related injury.  To submit your case for a review, you can contact us here.  You can also upload any documents or a photo of the panel for our review.
