Client Story: Patty

Hello, I’m Ty Wilson, an experienced personal injury lawyer in Georgia. I want to take a moment to thank you and have you here directly from one of our clients. We know how stressful legal situations can be, and sometimes the hardest part is just knowing who you can trust.

So I want to take just a moment and let you hear a story, a real story from a real person that we’ve had the privilege of helping. My name is Patty Graham and I’m from Pooler, Georgia. I had been hurt at a job, first time ever, in 2019.

And I ended up having to have shoulder surgery and not knowing all the ins and outs of workers’ comp. I went and had the surgery, went back to work three weeks later at a light duty capacity and was doing okay. Went back at my six week checkup and they removed the heavy duty sling off of my arm and there was numbness up and down my arm.

And when I called the people at the insurance company, they’re, oh, this is just a new injury. I’m like, no, they just took the sling off today. This is not a new injury.

And they kept telling me how I was going to have to wait another 21 days and this and that and this and that. And I’m like, okay. So it was a Friday afternoon and I went home and I started making phone calls.

And when I called Ty’s office, of course there’s nobody there, it was 530 on a Friday afternoon. And I thought, well, somebody will call me on Monday, so we’ll leave it be. It wasn’t 30 minutes later, my phone rings.

Now keep in mind, Friday night, six o’clock. He calls me and sits on the phone with me for probably an hour to an hour and 15 minutes letting me explain what I was going through, because I was nervous. I didn’t know what was going to happen or why they were trying to say this is a new injury.

And he was very honest with me, very open with me. And he sent me the paperwork that hour. I signed it that hour and I’ve been hooked up with Ty since 2019 and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

There’s never been a time that he or someone else from his office hasn’t returned my call as quickly as possible, because this injury ended up being a pretty scary thing for me because I’d never been hurt at work. I was 63, 64, not ready to retire because I like to work. And I started getting really nervous that these guys are telling me they’re going to take my job from me and they’re going to do this to me, they’re going to do that to me.

And he was very honest and told me everything that the law allowed, and he stayed completely within the law. And if you’re looking for somebody who has ethics and morals, and I know we can go into the jokes about attorneys right now if you want to, but no need in this case. Ty and his team are the epitome of ethics and morality.

So if you’re looking for somebody who’s going to do the right thing and do it the right way, he’s the one that you want to sit down and talk with. Patty, you answered everything. That was amazing.

I just want to take a second and say thank you. Thank you for taking the time. I know you’re out of state and I know that we’ve worked on two cases because one rolled into another.

So you obviously have more involvement with my office probably than you want. I definitely rolled into the second one. We can laugh at that one.

It’s getting better. It’s not as bad as the first one, still no good, but the right one’s good and that’s a blessing. Seriously.
